About the Artist
James F. Dupler
Growing up in Jamestown, New York, a city noted for its furniture manufacturing, and acquiring his first turning lathe at the age of ten, Jim Dupler has pursued a life-long career in woodworking that has taken him from learning the craft of furniture making from German and Swedish craftsmen to owning his own successful custom furniture and antique repair business in New York.
After his move to Indianapolis, his love of woodturning has drawn him to concentrate on creating art pieces, which have consistently brought him first prize at various art shows and his work is currently sold at the Indianapolis Museum of Art Gift Shop and CCA Gallery in Zionsville, IN. Jim is sought out for his teaching, lectures and demonstrations in the Indianapolis area and enjoys sharing his passion and experience with others.
